Introduction

Two or more products. One smarter offer.

A product bundle combines multiple products into a single offer. For a single shop or an international retailer, Product Information Management keeps those offers organized and the product catalogue current.

Pure bundles

Products grouped together and sold exclusively as one combined offer.

Mixed bundles

Products available both as a combined offer and as separate individual items.

Did you know? Value meals are mixed bundles: customers can buy the complete meal in one transaction or purchase each item separately.

Why retailers use bundles.

Well-designed bundles can improve the offer for customers while supporting inventory, distribution, and marketing goals.

01

Reduce existing inventory

02

Decrease distribution costs

03

Introduce new products

04

Simplify the marketing mix

05

Increase units sold

Using bundles smartly

Value is perceived—not simply added up.

Pricing opacity can make a complete offer feel more valuable than a low headline price with paid add-ons. Customers often average the perceived value of bundle components, so pairing a premium item with a weak or irrelevant product can lower the appeal of the entire offer.

Designing bundles

Use sales data to find combinations customers already want.

Creating a product combination that appeals to customers requires research. Use sales reports to identify items frequently purchased together and top sellers that naturally complement an underperforming product.

  • Start with a clear customer need or use case.
  • Pair products with compatible value and positioning.
  • Compare bundle performance with individual product sales.
  • Pilot the offer in one location before expanding it across the chain.
